Art Deco Inspired Weddings

Tuesday, March 21, 2017

Our theme of the month is our Art Deco inspired wedding theme. We have chosen this as it is a great warm up to the Real Wedding that will be featuring really soon!

Art Deco weddings give you an amazing platform to be creative and stylish. It can link everything from your dress, to your cake, with a beautiful elegant theme. You may opt for the bold and gold statement designs or look at the softer tones of cream and gold. On our Pinterest boards we have shared some wonderful ideas, that helped inspire our Real Bride (and now my sister-in-law!) on her journey in planning the wedding. We have a great post on how to use Pinterest here

So where to start? Lets go black and gold and go bold.

Here are our top 3 pins we have spotted that would go perfectly with this colour scheme and style of wedding invitation.

This sweets table is inspired. You can hire in these kind of things, but also source glass wear from charity shops and decorate with feathers. Also theme your cake and colours of deserts to tie in the theme.

#SBS - Small Business Sunday Win

Tuesday, March 14, 2017
Theo Paphitis retweets us to his 500K+ followers

We have had the best week on Twitter recently! On the back of our #Queenof win, we only went and won the coverted Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday award.  It is won when Theo retweets one of your tweets to his 500K followers in a bid to increase your brand and profile, and then you join the SBS winners in a great small business online networking group.

Theo Paphitis SBS retweet

We have been entering this most Sundays for about 2 years and finally it was our week. So what was the tweet that won it?

SBS winning tweet

Small business champion and Ryman Stationery, Robert Dyas and Boux Avenue Chairman, Theo Paphitis, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK.  My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings. The website and Shop #SBS will also give a valuable profile to the winners chosen and I wish Paperless Wedding every success.”

#SBS Winners like me have access to the exclusive members’ selling platform where hundreds of winners are already selling thousands of products, from unique gifts and bespoke furniture to pet toys or jewellery.  It is another opportunity for the #SBS winners to turn tweets into sales.

Anyone looking for a re‐tweet from Theo should tweet him about their business on Sunday between 5 PM and 7.30 PM and include the hashtag #SBS. Six lucky businesses are re‐tweeted every Monday at 8 PM and then invited to enter their profile on the new website, attend the annual #SBS networking event and take advantage of the networking opportunities.

We hope it will spread the word about our fab company and put it in peoples minds as being the place to come to get your digital wedding invitations and wedding website. This week alone we have had over 100 new twitter followers!

Winner of #Queenof Digital Weddings

Friday, March 3, 2017
We join a great networking group called The Royal Connection!

March has started very well for us with this win of the Queen of Digital Weddings badge. We join a networking group called 'The Royal Connections'. It was all thanks to the tweet below.

Queen of Digital Weddings

The Royal Connection was started by Aqua Design Group as a fun way to celebrate women in business with the #QueenOf day competition, which was weekly during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II in 201. It proved so popular that the competition has continued ever since.

We are proud to be part of this lovely community.

Ethical Diamonds Perfect For Your Engagement and Wedding Rings

Wednesday, March 1, 2017

Last year I went to the Wedding Show at Excel and visited a lot of stands. This one, KinetIQue, stood out and it was here I met a very inspiring couple, Elaine and Jason, whose business, brand, and product is ethical to its core. Diamonds are a girl's best friend, but if you put a real diamond next to a laboratory-grown one, would you be able to tell the difference? I couldn't, and my hand actually shook when I got to try on several of these stunning alternate diamond rings. They sparkled and if I had one, and knew what it stood for (aside from the undying love of my partner!) then I would be very proud to wear it and tell its story.

Elaine has shared with me a bit more about KinetIQue, its origins and company ethos.

KinetIQue Kind not minded

The name KinetIQue just started out as a name (pronounced the same as the end of the word “Boutique"). We liked the fact that it it has a boutique sort of ring to it, and at the same time incorporates energy and movement (kinetic), bringing together the laboratory-grown element of our business with the “IQ” in the middle of the name which reflects our branded product, the IQ Diamond.
